Tartan shawl

In my previous post I had mentioned that I recently went away for the week down to Berwick with the family to stay at a caravan park!! It genuinely was great to get away for a bit and enjoy some family time. The caravan park was about a 20minute drive from Berwick town centre but we headed in on the Wednesday morning to go to the markets and do a little shopping. I ofcourse did my run of the charity shops while there and managed to pick up a few pieces and also bought this cape from New Look.
The oversized shawl/cape has been a key trend on the catwalk this season with huge names supporting the look such as Prada and Burberry. However, it didnt take long for it to take over all the high street shops. I personally love the capes you can pick one up in many different patterns and I feel it can totally lift an outfit to make it a little more stylish but still offering the warmth you need in this freezing weather. This cape came in different colours such as red, orange, blue and green. I think when buying something like this you should try and make sure you can think of atleast 3 different things that you already own that you could wear it with that way you are getting your moneys worth. I paired the shawl with a grid white top, skinny ripped jeans and my chunky flatforms. Overall I love the way these photos came out, sounds ridiculous but when you are able to find somewhere different to take blog photos it really does make a difference.
